STAIDA Research Participant Terms
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Who we are and what this covers
AI Survivors offers the STAIDA research programme. You get insight into your own AI use, next to a benchmark of the platform, and access to lessons and an AI coach. In return, you take part in the research.
These terms govern that participation. How we handle your data is described in the STAIDA research privacy statement.
Questions? Email support@aisurvivors.com.
2. Who can take part
- You are 18 or older.
- You have one account and enter correct information.
- You sign up, confirm your email address and are then approved by us. Without approval you do not get an account.
3. What you get
Participation is free as long as your consent for research stands. You get:
- a Check-in with questions about your AI use;
- an overview of your own use, next to the platform benchmark;
- lessons and an AI coach.
The programme is offered as it is. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. The Coach is an AI. Its answers are informational and are not professional, legal or financial advice.
4. What we measure
We process:
- your answers to the Check-in;
- metadata about your own AI use, such as counts and times;
- if you add them: the organisations you work at or for, with your role and your current workplace.
We never measure the content of your work, no prompts and no code. The full overview is in the privacy statement.
5. Consent for the benchmark and the research
When you sign up, you give a separate consent:
My anonymised data counts towards the STAIDA benchmark and research.
This consent is part of taking part in the research. Free use applies only as long as this consent stands. You can withdraw your consent at any time, in your profile. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
What withdrawing means is explained in the privacy statement. In short:
- You choose between switching to a paid account or stopping.
- If you switch, AI Survivors creates a separate environment for you. Your research data stays in the research environment and does not move with you.
- When you stop, your name is detached from your data (anonymised).
- What you have already submitted and that is included in group figures can no longer be removed.
Commercial opt-in
Separately, you can give a second consent: "AI Survivors may approach [organisation] about STAIDA." You give it per organisation and it is not required for taking part. For an organisation you add later, it is off until you switch it on yourself. You can withdraw it at any time. Without this opt-in we use that organisation's data for research only and never show it per organisation below the threshold of 10 people from 3 organisations.
6. Use of the lessons and the Coach
The lessons and all related materials remain the property of AI Survivors. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own development. You may not copy, resell or share them.
7. What we ask of you
- Do not enter personal data of others or confidential company information in the Coach.
- Only measure on devices and accounts you have permission to use. If you use a device or account from your employer, make sure your employer allows this.
- Do not misuse, disrupt or circumvent the programme.
8. Liability
We are liable for damage to the extent the law requires. Our liability is limited to what the law allows. We never exclude liability for intent or deliberate recklessness. Mandatory law that protects you continues to apply.
9. Ending participation
- You can stop at any time and have your account deleted.
- We can end your participation in case of misuse or breach of these terms, and we can discontinue the programme. If we discontinue it, we announce this in advance with a reasonable notice period.
- What happens to your data afterwards is described in the privacy statement.
10. Changes
If we change these terms, we notify you in advance by email. For a material change we ask for your agreement again.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
